Camco's 12 inch Pigtail Propane Hose Connector is designed to connect a propane cylinder to an RV or trailer propane regulator. It has a Type 1 ACME nut x 1/4 inch inverted male flare. It is rated for 200,000 BTUs per hour. Safety features include thermal protection in case of fire and excess flow protection in case of broken gas line. You can use the pigtail hose with a 20 lb or 30 lb refillable propane tank and connect it to a regulator or 4-Port Brass Tee. It can also be used to connect to an installed 4-Port Tee as an auxiliary propane supply.

The "RV" pig tail won't necessarily fit right into your RV setup. Keep your old pig tail until you get this new replacement. The item worked fine but I had to buy a few fittings to transition from the thread type and size to mate this item to my RV system. Having my old pig tail allowed me to walk into my local hardware store and show them what I needed instead of trying to explain. It's not just the size. You have to make sure the threads are the same as your RV.

I thought I was getting a 1/4" npt instead of the 1/4" inverted flare. When I tried to return it they just told me to keep it and gave me my money back. I then cut off the 1/4" inverted flare and put on a barbed 1/4" npt. Worked great.

This is a quality product. I have had good success with all Camco RV products and will continue to buy that brand whenever possible. In addition, Amazon's 1-day shipment option worked as promised in spite of my remote location at the time (Big Bend National Park). I needed to replace leaky propane connectors and Camco and Amazon came through.
